Chongqing International Airport

　　Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is a national level all weather airport.  It accommodates over 50 domestic and international airlines, including regular lines to Hong Kong, Dusseldorf in Germany, Tokyo, Nagoya in Japan and Seoul in South Korea and charter flights to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.  It has two terminal buildings,one is for domestic lines, the other is for international lines.

　　Bus

　　The city bus system is developed. Three types of bus are available, including public trolleybus, new type bus and mini bus. At present, there are 27 lines of the mini bus, more than 90 lines of bus, and 5 lines of public trolleybus. The bus ticket is cheap, and the flag-fall price is RMB 1 or RMB 1.5.

　　Taxi

　　In Chongqing, almost all taxies is Suzuki car in yellow, which are very eye-catching. And the high-quality service of the clean taxies is one of the characteristics of Chongqing. The flag-fall price is RMB 5, and the price per km is RMB 1.6.

　　City Cable Car, Elevator and Rive Cableway

　　The city cable car and the elevator are the features of Chongqing due to the geography and the special roads and streets of this mountain city. The city cable car and the elevator are very convenient and time-efficient.

　　Near the railway station, there is an elevator on the Kaixuan Road, combining with the upper and lower of the street.

　　In addition, the river cableway has become the important transportation because the Yangtze River and the Jialing River run through the city. The flag-fall price is RMB 1.5.

　　Chongqing Highway

　　Chongqing is an important transportation pivot in the West of China, equipped with developed highway, railway, airlines and waterways. Although Chongqing is a mountain city with narrow roads, which is so different from other cities such as Chengdu, Beijing and shanghai, Chongqing government does the best to adjust the traffic and takes some effective actions. Chongqing's highway is the one of the achievements.

　　Chongqing internal highway has 75km all with 6 cars road that are 31.5m . Driving and finishing the whole internal highway, just spend 40 minutes as the designed speed is going on 80 km/h. the modern highway consist of three parts, which are the sections of Chongqing-ChangShou, Chongqing-QianJiang, and ShangJie highway.

　　At present, Chongqing has constructed the main districts highway as the center of Chongqing covering on the five aspects which are Chengdu-Chongqing highway, Chongqing-WanZhou highway, Chongqing-HeChuan highway, Chongqing-LingShui highway, Chongqing-QianJiang highway. Besides these, from ChangShou to FuLing highway and QianJing--WanSheng highway have been very important transportation road across the Chongqing Municipality City .

　　Chongqing Water Transportation

　　Chongqing is an important port and has many docks and harbors. At present, Chongqing has three comprehensive water transportation pivots, including the city proper, Wanzhou and Fuling. Besides, Jiangjin, Yongchuan, Hechuan, Fengjie, and Wulong have various docks and harbors that upgrade the water transportation net in Chongqing. The number of docks reaches 1,392, with the capability of 66 million tons.

　　Chongqing Chaotianmen is one of the important and famous docks, situated in the east of the Yuzhong District and at the joint of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. The scenery of Chaotianmen is magnificent. Chaotianmen is the best departure for the sightseeing of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.

　　Three are 3 types of the passenger ships, including the luxurious cruise vessels, tourist ships and the ordinary ship.

　　Sailing from Chaotianmen on the Yangtze River, ships will reach Yichang, Wuhan, Nanjing and other cities. If you go sightseeing by ship, it will take 2 days to Yichang, 3 days to Hangkou and 5 days to Nanjing. Moreover, if you are in the fastest ship named Water Fly Boat from Chongqing (Chaotianmen) to Wushan (the Wushan Mountains), you will arrive the destination in just 9 hours and arrive Yichang in 12 hours.

　　Railway Transport

　　With only the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway in the 1950s, Chongqing has built the Xiangfan-Chongqing and Guiyang-Chongqing electric railway trunk lines and 5 railway laterals linking the national network of railways since the reform and opening policy.

　　Caiyuanba Railway Station is the passenger transport center and hinge of the three main arteries of railroads in Chongqing. Besides, there are four other railway stations which are the already constructed Jiangbei Railway Station, the North Railway Station in Shapingba District, the South Railway Station in Jiulongpo District and the Beibei Railway Station.

　　The Dazhou-Wanzhou Railway is currently completed from Dazhou in Sichuan Province to Wanzhou in Chongqing, and the Chongqing-Huaihua Railway from Huaihua in Hunan Province to Chongqing will be completed soon. Light rails have been in operation in the urban areas of Chongqing. Besides, the Yichang-Wanzhou Railway from Yichang in Hubei Province to Wanzhou in Chongqing will be started to build.

　　By 2020, many railways will be built up in Chongqing: the Xiangfan-Chongqing Railway, the Chongqing-Huaihua Railway, the Nanchong-Chongqing Railway, the Sichuan-Guizhou Railway and the Suining-Chongqing Railway, and railways linking Chongqing with Shanghai, Wuhan and Chengdu will be constructed. The southeastern hub circle will connect the Sichuan-Guizhou Railway with the Chongqing-Huaihua Railway, and the central hub circle, starting from the Western Railway Station of Chongqing, will link with the southeastern circle through Dadukou District. The hub circle of communications of Chongqing will officially take its shape with the completion of the two circles.
