(CQNEWS) Chongqing commercial housing turnover declines a lot in August. The contracted area is 682,000m², 44.97% down compared with that of the last month and 73.85% declining compared with the same period of last year, according to the report of Chongqing Housing Market Supply and Demand Analysis in August 2008 issued by the Southwest Branch of China Index Research Institute recently.
　  In the city proper of Chongqing, there are 46 new housing projects approved for pre-sale in August with an area of 1.6688 million m², 14.04% up than the previous month and 4.31% down compared with the same period of the previous year. Among the new pre-sale buildings approved in August, the affordable housing covers 39.95%, becoming the new main force of the supply of the property market.
