(CQNEWS) Over the past 30 years, Chongqing commodity markets have increased from 319 in 1978 to 1,283, with 2 markets valued at 10 billion yuan and 9 markets valued at 5 billion yuan, represented by Chaotianmen market and Guanyinqiao farmer’s market, according to Wang Yuankai, director of Chongqing Administration for Industry and Commerce on Nov. 9. 

　  Chongqing private enterprises have increased from 132 to 130,000, nearly 1,000 times. Since the reestablishment of the Administration for Industry and Commerce on Sept. 25, 1978, Chongqing private economy has got great development, with the registered capital increased from 8.37 million yuan to 201.8 billion yuan, over 20,000 times.  

　  Individual businesses have increased from 4,549 to 630,000, with the capital of 13.9 billion yuan. Enterprises with foreign investment have increased from 0 to 4,608, with the registered capital of 12.24 billion US dollars, 93 of which are World Top 500 enterprises.
