(CQNEWS) In the first three quarters, the GDP accomplished by the Three Gorges Reservoir area was 122.127 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 16.9% and 1.6 percentage points higher than the citywide average level, according to Chongqing Statistics Bureau yesterday.  

　  Eleven districts and counties in this area among the total 15 ones obtained an economic growth rate of over 15% this period.  

　  As of the end of Sept., the fixed assets investment by the Area had occupied over 40% of the citywide investment in this sector. Meanwhile, the total value of the import and export in the Area reached 2.078 billion US dollar with a year-on-year grow rate of 89.9% in the first three quarters.
