(CQNEWS) The industrial economy in Chongqing keeps stable development, overcoming the raw material price roaring, cost increasing and the downward market demand brought about by the financial crisis this year. 

　  From Jan.-Sept., the citywide GDP reached 341.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 15.3%; the added value realized by the above-scale industries was 131.53 billion yuan, increasing by 23.8% compared with the same period of last year, 8.6 percentage points higher than the national level, ranking No. 5 in China, according to Chongqing Economic Commission in recent days. 

　  The general economic atmosphere in Chongqing keeps developing rapidly in spite of the slower growth. The citywide industrial added value increased by 20.3%, 22.4% and 21.9% in the first, second and third quarters respectively with the great support from new projects and products.
